Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Farm Accountant
to manage financial records, budgeting, and financial analysis
for our agricultural operations. The ideal candidate will have a
strong background in accounting, familiarity with farm financial
management, and the ability to contribute to the financial
success and sustainability of the farm.
Job responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the
farm, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and
general ledger entries.

Record and reconcile financial transactions related to farm
activities.

Collaborate with farm management to develop and monitor
budgets for various farm activities, including crop
production, equipment maintenance, and operational expenses.

Prepare financial forecasts and identify potential financial
risks or opportunities.

Generate regular financial reports, including income
statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Provide analysis and interpretation of financial data to
support decision-making.

Process payroll for farm employees, ensuring accurate and
timely payment.
- Manage payroll tax reporting and compliance.

Prepare and file tax returns for the farm, including income
tax, property tax, and any other applicable taxes.

Stay informed about tax regulations and implement strategies
for tax efficiency.

Analyze costs associated with crop production, livestock
management, and other farm activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related
field.

Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in an
agricultural or farm setting.
